
Deoghar: Shashi Prakash Singh on Saturday assumed charge as the 47th Deputy Commissioner of Deoghar district. He formally took over responsibility from outgoing DC Naman Priyesh Lakra. After assuming office, he outlined his priorities to make administrative functioning more effective and people-oriented.
Speaking to the media after taking charge, DC Shashi Prakash Singh said that his effort would be to establish better coordination among the public, public representatives, media personnel, and administrative officials so that administrative work could be carried out smoothly. He said that a better administrative environment would help ensure that the benefits of development schemes reach the people more quickly.The DC further stated that ensuring the benefits of government welfare schemes reach the last person in society would be his top priority. He made it clear that all government schemes would be implemented effectively on the ground so that no eligible beneficiary is left deprived. He also emphasized that needy people would be connected to the government’s flagship welfare schemes so they could receive the intended benefits.
With the new DC assuming office, hopes are rising that administrative activities in the district will gain fresh direction. The public also expects the administration to become more active, efficient, and accountable in its functioning.
