Jamshedpur: The Naval Tata Hockey Academy (NTHA) has reason to celebrate as eight of its cadets played a pivotal role in guiding Team Jharkhand to a commendable silver medal finish at the Khelo India Tribal Games 2026, held in Raipur, Chhattisgarh from March 26 to April 1.
Demonstrating exceptional skill, discipline, and cohesion, the eight NTHA players—Navin Kerketta, Dilbar Barla, Daniyal Soy, Simon Bodra, Sem Munda, Bhimsen Kisku, Junul Purty, and Jaymasih Tuti—formed the backbone of the Jharkhand squad. Their consistent performances throughout the tournament underscored the academy’s commitment to nurturing high-performance hockey talent.
Jharkhand delivered a spirited campaign en route to the final but fell short against a strong Odisha side, going down 4–1. Jaymasih Tuti netted the lone goal for Jharkhand in the vital clash, showcasing determination despite the tough contest.

Their efforts not only secured a podium finish but also brought national recognition to the state’s growing hockey ecosystem.
The Naval Tata Hockey Academy has congratulated all eight cadets for their outstanding achievement, expressing confidence that they will continue to shine on bigger stages in the years ahead.
