‘Swadeshi in Every Home’: Babulal Marandi Kicks Off Self-Reliance Campaign in Ranchi

Ranchi – Former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi launched the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat, Har Ghar Swadeshi’ campaign in Ranchi on Monday by inscribing patriotic slogans on a wall at Birsa Chowk to inspire citizens toward self-reliance.

Joined by Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu and numerous BJP workers, Marandi said the movement aims to fulfil Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of a developed India by 2047. “This is not the task of one person. Only through collective effort — everyone’s participation, everyone’s growth — can this vision be achieved,” he said.

He stressed that adopting Swadeshi products plays a vital role in strengthening India’s economy. “Supporting domestic industries boosts employment and helps India become economically independent,” Marandi said.

Recalling the nation’s freedom struggle, he added, “Our freedom fighters used Swadeshi as a weapon of empowerment. Gandhi ji’s Khadi, Charkha, and the Salt March united the country economically and spiritually. Today, we must revive that same spirit.”

His campaign aligns with Prime Minister Modi’s recent Mann Ki Baat appeal encouraging citizens to adopt Swadeshi practices, and Home Minister Amit Shah’s call for farmers to use indigenous products in Maharashtra.
