Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday handed over appointment letters to 301 assistant teachers recruited through the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC).
The batch includes 131 graduate-trained teachers in maths and science and 170 intermediate-trained teachers for Classes 1 to 5.
At the ceremony, Soren said his government is determined to upgrade government schools to the level of private ones. He stressed that education is a top priority, adding that while thousands have already been recruited, the process to appoint another 26,000 teachers is underway.
Congratulating the new teachers, he reminded them of their responsibility: “Parents work hard, often with financial struggles, to educate their children. It is your duty to honour that sacrifice and teach with sincerity.”
The CM also noted increasing public trust in government institutions, pointing out that more parents are moving children from private schools to CM Utkrishta Vidyalayas. He urged teachers to share feedback and suggestions with the government.
The event saw the presence of Education Department officials, ministers, and families of the appointees.
