
Ranchi: Police have arrested a man accused of sheltering suspects involved in the murder of Sahil alias Kurkure, who was shot dead near Bhatti Chowk in Hindpiri on August 10.
With this arrest, the police have now apprehended three accused in connection with the case and sent them to jail. Raids are ongoing to trace other suspects involved in the crime.
The latest arrest is of 52-year-old Mohammad Firoz, a resident of Kharposh village in Majhgaon, West Singhbhum. Police said Firoz provided shelter to the accused at his house near the Jharkhand-Odisha border.
Firoz was produced before a court following his arrest and has been sent to Hotwar Jail on judicial custody. Police have urged the public not to assist or shelter the accused, warning that strict legal action will be taken against anyone found helping the criminals.
