District admn ramps up preparations for state’s first-ever air show

Ranchi: The city of Ranchi is set to host Jharkhand’s first grand air show, scheduled for April 19 and 20. In preparation for this historic event, the district administration has intensified its efforts. On the direction of Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri, senior officials conducted an inspection of the Khojatoli Army Ground in Namkum on Wednesday.

The Indian Air Force’s renowned Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team will perform at the event, showcasing thrilling aerial stunts that promise to make the show a spectacular and memorable experience for attendees.

During the inspection, officials were instructed to ensure proper seating arrangements for VVIPs, VIPs, military personnel, and the general public. Additionally, arrangements for drinking water, barricading, sanitation facilities, medical teams, ambulances, fire brigade, and bomb disposal squads were ordered to be completed on time.

The district administration has committed to providing all necessary administrative support to ensure the success of the event. Authorities have also been directed to promote the air show widely across the district to attract maximum public participation.

Several senior officials were present during the inspection, including Additional District Magistrate (Law and Order) Rajeshwar Nath Alok, District Nazarat Deputy Collector Dr. Sudesh Kumar, District Education Superintendent Badal Raj, and others. Group Captain Girish Komar represented the Indian Air Force during the visit.
