Bokaro: A local court in this district awarded five years of imprisonment each to a former international football player and his archer wife and has also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 each in the case related to possession of illegal arms.
The court of additional session judge (first) Ranjeet Kumar awarded the punishment to ex-footballer Ajay Singh and his archer wife Angela Singh. The court has convicted the duo in the case on April 5 itself. Additional public prosecutor Sanjay Kumar Jha a raid was conducted at the house of Ajay Singh on February 15, 2018 located under Harla Police Station area of this district during which illegal arms were recovered.
