Banks to remain closed for 14 days in the month of April

Ranchi: In the month of April due to many festivals like Ram Navami, Eid, there will be holidays in the banks. RBI has released the list of holidays for April. According to the list, banks are closed for 14 days in April. This holiday is according to different states. This also includes Saturday and Sunday holidays.

1 April 2024: Whenever the financial year ends, the bank has to close the account for the entire financial year.

Due to account closing on April 1, Agartala, Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Imphal, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Kohima, Lucknow, Mumbai, Banks will remain closed in Nagpur, New Delhi, Panaji, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Srinagar and Thiruvananthapuram.

5 April 2024: Banks will remain closed in Telangana, Jammu and Srinagar on the occasion of Babu Jagjivan Ram's birthday and Jummat-ul-Vida.

9 April 2024: Banks will remain closed in Belapur, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji and Srinagar on the occasion of Gudi Padwa/Ugadi Festival/Telugu New Year and first Navratri.

10 April 2024: Kochi and Kerala, will remain closed due to Eid.

11 April 2024: Many banks will remain closed across the country due to Eid, but banks of Chandigarh, Gangtok, Imphal, Kochi, Shimla, and Thiruvananthapuram will remain open.

15 April 2024: Banks of Guwahati and Shimla will remain open.

Himachal will remain closed due to the day.

17 April 2024: Ram Navami is on 17 April.

On the occasion of Ram Navami, banks will not open in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Gangtok, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Patna, Ranchi, Shimla, Mumbai and Nagpur.

20 April 2024: Banks will remain closed in Agartala on the occasion of Garia Puja.

Banks remain closed on Sunday, second Saturday and fourth Saturday of every month.

In April, all banks in the country will remain closed on April 7 (Sunday), April 13 (second Saturday), April 14 (Sunday), April 21 (Sunday), April 27 (fourth Saturday) and April 28 (Sunday).
