Police launched bike squad to control the crime in Ranchi

Ranchi: Ranchi Police has adopted a new method to control the increasing crime in Ranchi. This new approach is Bike Squad. Which has been activated by SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha. In the first phase, this squad will be active during Holi and keep an eye on the mischievous people. After this, it will start controlling the crime happening in the city.

The bike squad has been dispatched from the police control room. Movement of these bike squads has also started in different areas of the city. There are a total of 40 bikes in this squad. In which 80 police officers and soldiers have been deployed. This bike squad has been appointed in eight police station areas of the city.

City SP Rajkumar Mehta has sent five bike squads to each police station area after briefing them. CCR DSP Ram Samad, Inspector Bimal Kindo and other police officers were present on the spot.

According to the police, with their help, crime can be stopped even in those places of the city where four-wheeler police vehicles cannot reach. Therefore everyone has been equipped with wireless. According to City SP Rajkumar Mehta, this bike squad will not only patrol its assigned police station area, but the officers deployed in it will also identify the criminals. They will also raid their houses. Will work to crack down on criminals.

He told that the bike squad has also been briefed. Through them, efforts will also be made to arrest criminals, recover arms and recover narcotics. Apart from this, if there is any problem in law and order, they will immediately move  to the location and solve the problem.

To control people driving at high speed and creating ruckus during Holi, Ranchi Traffic Police has decided to install Zig-Zag barricades in the urban area. This barricading will remain in place from 11 pm tonight till 7 am on March 27.
