Governor reviewed development work in Maoist-affected Latehar

Ranchi: Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan on Thursday reviewed Development work during his visit to the Maoist-affected Latehar district of Jharkhand on Friday.

He visited Utkramit Ucch Vidyalaya in Udaipura and addressed the gathering “I come from a small village in Tamil Nadu, I Know the real conditions of Villages.” Governor said that there are lot of diversity present in society and we should work together.

He said” If village is developed then the country will develop”. India is the fifth largest economy in the world, in the year of 1998 Starvation cases were reported in the country. The then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee took initiative for elimination of starvation from the society. “ During adverse conditions of the Corona Pandemic, country under leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the poor people got food grains “ said the governor. He added that people should take benefits of government policies. Every home is now connected with Ujjwala Gas Yojna.

The government is regularly working to improve the conditions of Standard of living of the people of the state, Governor Radhakrishnan said. Governor Radhakrishnan felicitated meritorious students and distributed certificates to the toppers of the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) matriculation examination.

Governor said “ due to the contribution of freedom fighter Neelambar - Pitambar who fought against British Rule, India got freedom and now India’s economy is ahead of the British Economy”. Today Free LPG Gas connection is provided to the villagers.

All farmers are getting the amount of Rupees 6000 directly to their bank accounts. Kasturba Gandhi Residential School and 68 Eklavya Schools have been given affiliation.
