Businessmen Amit Agarwal and Dilip Ghosh sent Jail on Army Land Scam Case

Ranchi: Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested Businessman Amit Agarwal along with Jagat Bandhu E State Owner Dilip Ghosh in connection with Army Land Scam Case on Wednesday evening.

Both of them were produced before a special ED Court in Ranchi on Friday. Special ED Court Chaired by Justice Dinesh Rai chaired the hearing and sent them to Birsa Munda Central Jail. On April 13 ED raised an Army Land Scam in Ranchi in which Seven were arrested.

Followed by Badgai Block Revenue inspector Bhanu Pratap Prasad along with Land Seller Pradeep Bagchi and Seven others sent to Jail in connection with the sale of 4.55 acres of Army Land in an illegal manner.

Honourable Judge of Special ED Court sentenced the accused to jail after finding evidence in connection with tempering of Army Land Documents, Providing Illegal and fake Holding Number and sell of land. Few days ago Former Deputy Commissioner of Ranchi and Jharkhand Cadre IAS Officer Chhavi Ranjan was sent to jail by ED Court. 

Similarly, accused Pradeep Bagchi who sold Army Land by producing fake documents actually inherited from his ancestor Praful Bagchi who bought it from Royyt Pramod Dasgupta in the year 1932 and Sale Deed number was 4369. 

The registry of the land was shown in West Bengal by the fake sale deed, however in 1932 West Bengal State was not constituted. The state West Bengal was constituted after independence, ED took them in custody on this evidence.
