Six live IED's recovered from Kolhan forest area of East Singhbhum

Ranchi: Six Improvised Explosive Device (IED) live bombs were recovered under the Tumbahaka area of Tonto Police Station at Kolhan forest area of East Singhbhum district of Jharkhand on Saturday.

Bombs were planted by CPI (Maoist), Police said.

Few days before several bombs were blasted in which dozens of villagers were killed.

Security Forces including Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and State Police conducted a massive search operation in the area.

Security Forces searched Spike Holes planted by CPI (Maoist) to blow forces and have more casualties.

Security forces searched 11 live bombs four days before from the Goelkera area of East Singhbhum and successfully defused all the bombs.

In this combing operation Chaibasa Police', Jharkhand Jaguar, CoBRA 209, 203, CRPF 197, 193, 174, 157, 134, 60, 26, 07 and Bomb Disposal Squad of Jharkhand Police took part.

According to Police in the last six months from the period of December 1 2022 to June 3, 2023 total of 165 IED Bombs and 26 Spike Holes were defused.
