SDO conducts raids over reports of black marketing of oxymeter and medicines

Ranchi:  Following the reports of black marketing of various life saving drugs and equipments Sadar SDO Utkarsh Gupta conducted raids at various medical shops in the capital.

The SDO conducted raids at medical shops in Ratu Road, Harmu and Kanke areas and inspected the stocks. On the other hand two shops at Albert Ekka Chowk including Jai Hind Pharma and Azad Medical Hall were closed.

Both these shops were selling PPE kits on much higher rates and after that they had been served show cause notices by the SDO but failed to come up with proper replies after which the shops have been closed.

The SDO said that information had been received that some shops were charging more price for the products after which inspection has been done. He said that at the shops magistrates have been deployed so that the medicines and other items are not sold on higher prices.
