Actor Ayushmann Khurrana believes music plays a vital role in helping audiences connect with a film as the makers of his upcoming drama, ‘Udta Teer’, unveiled its complete music album on Friday, ahead of its scheduled release on October 23, 2026.
The album features five tracks, including the title song, ‘Bhootni Ka’, ‘Chann’ and ‘Choozay’. Composed and produced by Sachin-Jigar, the songs feature lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
Speaking about the album, Ayushmann highlighted its musical diversity and the different emotions conveyed by the tracks.
“Music has always been such an important part of how audiences connect with a film. What I enjoy about the music of ‘Udta Teer’ is the variety it brings to the film,” he said.
“Every song brings a different energy, whether it’s the fun and madness of ‘Bhootni Ka’, the attitude of ‘Choozay’ or the romance of ‘Chann’. I think it’s the range that makes this album special. I’m looking forward to audiences discovering the songs and finding their own favourite,” he added.
Co-star Sara Ali Khan also praised the album for its range of musical styles and emotions. She said the songs combine fun, quirky elements, energy, romance and patriotism, with each track contributing a distinct mood to the film.
Sara added that the variety reflects the different shades of the film's world and expressed excitement about audiences experiencing the complete album.
Composer duo Sachin-Jigar said the project gave them an opportunity to explore different musical styles while ensuring that every track retained its individual identity and remained connected to the film.
“As composers, we enjoy exploring different sounds and finding the right musical language for every situation. ‘Udta Teer’ gave us the chance to do that across the album. Each song called for a different approach, which made the process exciting,” they said.
The duo also credited lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya and the singers for helping bring the album's varied musical moods to life.
With its mix of contrasting sounds and emotions, the soundtrack offers audiences an early glimpse into the musical world of ‘Udta Teer’ ahead of the film's theatrical release.
