Contractual teachers in University and Colleges to get extension till March 31, 2021

Ranchi: The state government has decided to give an extension to teachers teaching in universities and constituent colleges of the state till March 31, 2020.

The proposal would now be placed before the cabinet for approval. The decision has been taken in wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Higher and Technical Education Department had decided to appoint contractual teachers on a per class basis to bring quality changes and increase the gross enrollment ratio in the universities and colleges of the state following an order dated March 2, 2017.

In wake of the Coronavirus crisis to ensure that classes in the Universities and constituent colleges run properly and the classes are not impacted therefore the panel of the contractual teachers is being expanded.
