Corona tally reaches 87,210 in state as 933 fresh cases found on Sunday, recovery rate jumps to 86.60 percent

Ranchi: With a total of 933 fresh cases of Coronavirus being detected across the 23 districts of the state on Sunday the overall tally of Covid-19 patients in Jharkhand has reached 87,210.

During the day 9 deaths were reported including 3 from Ranchi and 2 each from East Singhbhum and Latehar and 1 each from Chatra and West Singhbhum districts after which the overall death count has increased to 743 in the state. The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.85 percent.

As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 10,936 while the number of cured and discharged cases stood at 75,531. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 743.

On Sunday a maximum number of 374 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 74 in East Singhbhum, 64 in West Singhbhum, 55 in Dhanbad, 49 in Bokaro district (top five districts).

A total of a number of 907 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 291 from Ranchi, 119 from East Singhbhum, 69 from Bokaro, 53 from West Singhbhum and 50 from Godda. 

Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once again gone above 85 percent mark to currently stand at 86.60 percent in Jharkhand.

So far in the state 24,01,158 samples have been collected out of which 23,94,406 have been tested and 23,07,196 have turned out to be negative.
