Ranchi: The Ranchi district administration has banned the inauguration of newly constructed roads and drains which was being done in the city by mayor Asha Lakra.
DC Rai Mahimpat Rey has written a letter to the mayor in this regard in which he pointed that the Chief Secretary has clearly said that no function like inauguration, foundation laying, and political programme should be held as the Coronavirus was expanding in the state therefore till further orders all such types of functions are being banned.
It was found that the officials of the RMC were on an inauguration spere in the city in which the mayor, deputy mayor and ward councilors were participating and even local people were turning out in large numbers. Moreover, in these functions the norms of social distancing were not being followed.
