Jannat Zubair Teases Shivangi Joshi Over Harshad Chopda Rumours on 'Lock Upp 2'

Mumbai: Actress Jannat Zubair gave her close friend Shivangi Joshi a candid reality check during her visit to Lock Upp 2, addressing the growing buzz surrounding Shivangi's bond with actor Harshad Chopda.

Appearing as a special visitor on the reality show, Jannat urged Shivangi to stay focused on her game and not let outside opinions affect her. At the same time, she pointed out that the way Shivangi and Harshad interact inside the house is fuelling speculation among viewers.

"Don't cry now. What you've been doing over the last two or three weeks, just keep doing that. Whatever is happening at home or whatever you've come to know, don't think too much about what people outside are saying," Jannat told Shivangi.

She added that the audience is seeing exactly what is happening inside the house, saying, "Whatever is going on between you and Harshad... you may not want people to think you both are together, but you need to understand that what is happening inside is exactly what is being seen outside."

Jannat further remarked that the speculation isn't limited to viewers. According to her, even fellow contestants feel Shivangi and Harshad appear to be more than just friends.

"Forget the people outside; even the people inside are telling you that it looks like you two are together. Understand that. And he's a little too emotional. People tell him every week... You also cry," she said.

Jannat Zubair recently won the third season of Laughter Chef: Unlimited Fun alongside actor Aly Goni.

The 24-year-old actress has built a successful television career with memorable roles in shows such as Kashi – Ab Na Rahe Tera Kagaz Kora, Phulwa, Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap and Tu Aashiqui. She also participated in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 12 in 2022.

Most recently, Jannat appeared in the web series Glory, directed by Karan Anshuman. The series stars Divyenndu, Pulkit Samrat and Suvinder Vicky. Set in a small-town boxing hub, the story follows two brothers investigating a shocking murder while dealing with a strained relationship with their father, a celebrated boxing coach.
