Shilpa Shinde Opens Up on Playing a Double Role in ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai 2.0!’

Mumbai- Popular comedy show “Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai 2.0!” has taken a spooky yet entertaining turn, blending humour with supernatural twists as Vibhuti (Aasif Sheikh), Anita (Vidisha Srivastava), Tiwari (Rohitashv Gour), and Angoori (Shilpa Shinde) find themselves caught in a series of eerie and hilarious events.

Actress Shilpa Shinde is set to surprise audiences with a double role in the show, portraying both the much-loved Angoori Bhabi and Vidya’s ghost—the mysterious spirit behind the unfolding chaos.

Sharing her thoughts on the unique track, Shilpa said the Ghunghatganj storyline promises “double the entertainment,” combining mystery, comedy, and unexpected twists. “This track is a perfect blend of humour and horror that will keep viewers hooked. Angoori has a special innocence and honesty that always resonates with audiences, and returning to her character feels like revisiting a very special phase of my life,” she said.

She highlighted that the excitement lies in the stark contrast between the two characters. “This time, I am playing both Angoori Bhabi and Vidya, which makes it even more thrilling. Angoori is her usual sweet, innocent self, while Vidya brings a completely new dimension as a ghost. Both characters are entirely different, and that is what makes the experience so exciting for me as an actor. It’s a blend of something familiar and something entirely new,” she added.

The Bigg Boss 11 winner further explained that while Angoori Bhabi continues to spread smiles and laughter, Vidya’s ghost adds layers of mystery and intrigue to the narrative. “Vidya is emotional yet vengeful, gentle yet powerful. Her soul is caught between seeking justice and finding peace, as she tries to uncover her murderer and take revenge. Playing these two extremes in a single show has been creatively fulfilling and emotionally challenging—it feels like stepping into two completely different worlds at the same time,” she said.
