
Chennai: The makers of director Nalan Kumarasamy’s highly anticipated film Vaa Vaathiyaar, starring Karthi and Krithi Shetty, released the lyrical video of the song ‘MuDhaLaLi’ on Tuesday, delighting fans and cinema enthusiasts.
Composed by Santhosh Narayanan, the track features lyrics by Durai and vocals by Santhosh Narayanan and Sublahshini. The song, filmed on Karthi, carries a vibrant retro vibe that has already begun resonating with listeners.
Studio Green, the film’s production house, shared the lyrical video link on its official X handle, writing:

Besides the lead pair, the film boasts an impressive ensemble cast including Sathyaraj, Rajkiran, Anand Raj, Shilpa Manjunath, Karunakaran, G. M. Sundar, Ramesh Thilak, P. L. Thenappan, Vidhya Borgia, Nivas Adthitan, and Madhur Mittal.
Karthi plays a police officer in the film, with Karunakaran as his subordinate. A teaser released earlier showed Karthi in a bold new avatar, stepping out of a patrol vehicle to join a lively street dance. The teaser confirms that Vaa Vaathiyaar will be a full-fledged commercial entertainer packed with humour, romance, and action.
The film’s cinematography is handled by George C. Williams, with editing by Vetre Krishnan. Stunts are choreographed by Anal Arasu, while dance choreography is by Sandy and Sharief.
Lyrics for other songs have been written by Vivek, Kelithee, and Muthamil, and costumes are designed by Poornima Ramaswamy, Aegan Ekambaram, and Pallavi Singh.
Notably, the film features three co-directors — Rams Murugan, Navakanth Rajkumaar, and Sundar Venkat — supporting Nalan Kumarasamy’s vision.
