Shehnaaz Gill on Love and Relationships: 'Nothing Is Perfect'

Mumbai — Actress Shehnaaz Gill, who stars in her latest film “Ikk Kudi”—a story centered on finding the right life partner—believes that perfection in love and relationships is an illusion. What truly matters, she says, is the effort and emotional investment one brings into a relationship.

When asked about her mantra for a perfect marriage or partnership, Shehnaaz told IANS that while the future of any relationship remains uncertain, one must still give their best.

“Nothing is perfect; it’s not perfect. But I think the more perfect you can be in things, the better,” she said, adding that nurturing and investing in a relationship is essential.

Shehnaaz, who has also turned producer with “Ikk Kudi”, elaborated:
“Invest in your relationship… it’s very important. You don’t know how things will turn out in the future. Maybe someone shows their true self only after marriage — that can happen. But you should do your best and stay cautious. In the end, it’s all about fate. If you’re unlucky, you may meet the wrong person; if you’re lucky, you’ll meet the right one.”

Her new film “Ikk Kudi” follows the story of a young woman from a family with a history of heartbreaks. As doubts arise about her arranged marriage, she sets out to uncover her fiancé’s mysterious past.

Shehnaaz first rose to fame with her appearance in “Bigg Boss 13”, where her chemistry with the late actor Sidharth Shukla became immensely popular. She began her career in 2015 with the music video “Shiv Di Kitaab” and made her Punjabi film debut with “Sat Shri Akaal England” in 2017.

Her notable film credits include “Kala Shah Kala”, “Daaka”, “Honsla Rakh”, “Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan”, and “Thank You for Coming.”

In addition to her film work, Shehnaaz has featured in numerous hit music videos such as “Shona Shona”, “Habit”, “Gedi Route”, “Pindaan Diyaan Kudiyaan”, and “Jatti Hadd Sekhdi.” Her upcoming project, “Sab First Class”, is already creating buzz among fans.
