Mumbai — Actress Vidya Balan has shared how she manifested her dream of working with filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar, which eventually came true when she made her debut in the critically acclaimed film Parineeta.
Vidya posted a video on Instagram where she began her Monday morning by singing the soulful track “Seekho Na Naino Ki Bhasha Piya.”
Talking about the song, the Bhool Bhulaiyaa actress said she instantly fell in love with it the first time she heard it and began wishing to work with a director like Pradeep Sarkar.
“I love lip-syncing to songs, and this one I truly adore — a good reason to do it on a Monday morning,” she wrote. “When I watched it for the first time, I was struck as much by the lyrics by @prasoonjoshilive and the song itself as I was by the picturisation. And that’s when I secretly began to dream of working with the master storyteller #PradeepSarkar.”
Vidya went on to share that her wish gradually began to take shape. “Unbeknownst to me, the universe began to work its magic. A few years later, I got an ad film with Dada, and then, as luck would have it, I got to be in three of his music videos too,” she revealed.
“The highlight, of course, was that I got to work with the same team of @smudgal, @moitrashantanu, and #Dada on another album called Kisson Ki Chaadar, written by @niveditajoshi4. And that eventually led to me being launched by Dada in Parineeta,” the Ishqiya actress added.
Reflecting on the experience, Vidya credited the Law of Attraction for making it all happen. “I don’t know if this qualifies as the ‘Law of Attraction,’ but I do know that I’m ever so grateful for this — just as I am for so much else in life,” she concluded, wishing her followers “a beautiful Monday and a lovely week ahead.”
