Srinidhi Shetty on Telusu Kada: 'This is a character I’ve never played before'

Hyderabad – Actress Srinidhi Shetty, who plays one of the female leads in stylist-turned-director Neeraja Kona’s much-awaited Telugu romantic entertainer Telusu Kada, says her role in the film is unlike anything she has done before.

Speaking at a press conference, the actress revealed that she was immediately drawn to the story because of its unusual concept.

“When there are two girls and a boy, people assume it’s a love triangle. But we have touched on a unique point in this film. I can’t reveal it now, but audiences will definitely be surprised when they watch it,” Srinidhi said.

After a series of action-packed films such as KGF and Hit 3, Srinidhi described Telusu Kada as a refreshing change of pace.

“Those films had intense action and a lot of bloodshed. This one is a light-hearted romantic movie, and I’m very happy to be part of it. I’m sure people will enjoy it,” she added.

In the film, Srinidhi plays a character named Raaga, while co-star Raashi Khanna plays Anjali. Asked if Raaga reflects her real-life personality, Srinidhi admitted:

“There are some similarities, but Raaga also has shades of grey. Personally, I can’t be like that.”

Produced by People Media Factory, the banner behind the blockbuster Mirai, the film stars Sidhu Jonnalagadda in the lead alongside Srinidhi and Raashi. Telusu Kada is scheduled to release on October 17, 2025.
