Mumbai – Actress and influencer Vahbiz Dorabjee candidly spoke about her relationship status and career in an exclusive interaction with IANS.
When asked if she was single, the Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant actress confirmed she is not dating anyone at the moment.
“I’m focusing on myself, my lane, my growth. I’m very old-school when it comes to relationships. I believe in the 90s kind of love—loyalty, emotional availability, togetherness,” Vahbiz shared.
She admitted that today’s swipe culture feels “very scary” to her, adding: “I want someone who adds value to my life, who is my equal, ambitious yet family-oriented.”
Reflecting on her acting journey, Vahbiz said her career has been long and transformative. “My first launch was in Pyaar Ki Ek Kahani around 2011. The funny part is, I never wanted to become an actor—I actually wanted to be a model. But due to family pressure, I didn’t want to return to Pune. One thing led to another, I started auditioning, and the rest is history. That show turned out to be a superhit, and since then, there’s been no looking back.”
On the hectic nature of television, she agreed it is a very demanding medium: “When you sign up, you know the commitment. Sometimes there are telecast pressures, and you can’t let your production down. But long hours, irregular meals, and disturbed sleep affect health deeply. Today’s world requires a balanced and holistic lifestyle.”
Asked whether reducing TV working hours could help, Vahbiz said: “If that happens, it will be a blessing. It will improve not only the performances of actors but also their overall health. Everyone will benefit.”
