Mumbai – Multi-talented Kaveri Kapur was reportedly approached for a reality show described as one of the most mentally demanding formats ever created, but the actress has chosen to decline the offer.
The show’s concept is said to revolve around shifting power dynamics, where participants’ influence and social standing would change depending on their strategies and alliances, making it both intense and emotionally taxing.
However, sources revealed that Kaveri has decided against taking part. A source close to her said: "Kaveri was indeed approached for a popular reality show. But she has chosen not to participate. Right now, her focus is on films and music. While she doesn’t believe in ‘never saying never,’ her current priorities are her shoots and singing."
Kaveri, already known for her poetry, songwriting, and music, made her acting debut in "Bobby Aur Rishi Ki Love Story" opposite Vardhan Puri. She will next be seen in "Masoom: The Next Generation", directed by her father Shekhar Kapur.
Shekhar shared on social media that it took him a long time to convince his daughter to act in his project: "She’s an amazing singer-songwriter. I’m fortunate that she finally agreed to work with me in Masoom – The Next Generation. If children choose their parents, then I am the luckiest father alive."
The sequel will feature a new storyline while retaining the spirit of the original film. Shabana Azmi and Naseeruddin Shah will reprise their roles, alongside Manoj Bajpayee and Nithya Menen in pivotal parts.
