PM Modi’s Former Bodyguard Lucky Bisht Makes Cameo in ‘Sena – Guardians of the Nation’

Mumbai – Lucky Bisht, a RAW agent and former bodyguard of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has made a cameo appearance in the series Sena – Guardians of the Nation.

Speaking about how the opportunity came about, Bisht said, “It happened through a special invitation. Given my real-life military background and experience, the makers wanted an actual soldier to appear on screen, and that’s how this opportunity arose.”

The show features Vikram Singh Chauhan in the lead role, alongside Yashpal Sharma, Shirley Setia, Anandeshwar Dwivedi, Rahul Tewari, Vijay Vikram Singh, Anupam Bhattacharya, Neelu Dogra, and Funcho in key roles. It is currently streaming on MX Player.

Reflecting on his experience in front of the camera, Bisht said, “It was a completely new and exciting experience. In real life, you serve with duty; on screen, you try to portray the same emotions. Both are different, but real feelings made it easier to connect with the role.”

On the contrast between being a soldier in real life and on screen, he explained: “Being a soldier in the field means shouldering real responsibilities and putting your life at risk, whereas on screen, it’s acting. In real battles, there’s fear, sweat, and sacrifice; on screen, those emotions are conveyed through performance and the camera.”

Sharing his experience working with the cast, he added, “Everyone was respectful and warm. The environment was friendly and light-hearted, which made the work enjoyable and easier.”

Produced by The Viral Fever, directed by Abhinav Anand, and written by Anandeshwar Dwivedi, the show marks another milestone for Lucky Bisht, who has previously served in the NSG and SPG and is one of the youngest commandos to have guarded two Indian Prime Ministers.

Sena – Guardians of the Nation follows the story of father Deen Dayal Sharma and son Kartik Sharma. Despite his father’s opposition, Kartik leaves a promising job in California to join the Indian Army. After clearing the CDS exam and SSB interview, he becomes a Captain posted in Kashmir.
