Mumbai- Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan revealed that he had the best morning after spending time amidst the lush green “Punjab de khet” (fields of Punjab).
Taking to Instagram, Varun posted a series of pictures of himself sitting in the fields during sunrise, captioning them: “Punjab De Khet… Best morning hogaya.” The actor is currently busy filming his upcoming war epic Border 2.
On August 6, Varun announced that he had completed the Amritsar schedule of the film. The production team also shared photos and a video from the wrap-up party on social media. In the video, Varun can be seen saying, “It’s a wrap… Bharat Mata ki Jai!” before cutting a celebratory cake. The team later visited the Golden Temple to seek blessings.
This isn’t the first time Varun has shared moments from Punjab’s serene farmland. Earlier, he posted peaceful snapshots from the fields with the caption: “Punjab Punjab Punjab.”
While the original Border was based on the 1971 Battle of Longewala, Border 2 is expected to depict the 1999 Kargil War. The conflict began when Pakistani troops crossed the Line of Control (LoC) and occupied Indian territory in the Kargil district, prompting India to launch a major military and diplomatic counteroffensive.
Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 is the sequel to J.P. Dutta’s 1997 war epic Border, which starred Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Akshaye Khanna, and others, and remains one of Bollywood’s most iconic war dramas.
