Mumbai – The makers of the highly anticipated reality series “The Traitors” have officially revealed the names of the 20 contestants set to participate in this gripping game of trust and deception. Among the star-studded lineup are Anshula Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, Karan Kundrra, Raj Kundra, and Jasmin Bhasin.
Joining them are a diverse mix of personalities from across the entertainment spectrum, including Apoorva, Ashish Vidyarthi, Elnaaz Norouzi, Harsh Gujral, Jannat Zubair, Janvi Gaur, Lakshmi Manchu, Mukesh Chhabra, Nikita Luther, Purav Jha, Raftaar, Sahil Salathia, Sudhanshu Pandey, and Sufi Motiwala.
Hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar, the trailer—released on Friday—offers a sneak peek into the high-stakes game unfolding at the majestic Suryagarh Palace in Rajasthan. The 20 players arrive with a single mission: to outwit each other and claim the ultimate prize through intense physical and psychological challenges.
At the heart of the game lies a compelling twist—some players are secretly selected by Karan as ‘traitors,’ while the rest, known as ‘faithfuls,’ must uncover and eliminate them before it's too late.
Karan Johar shared his excitement about the show:
“Lies, betrayal, mind games, and drama—‘The Traitors’ is everything you’d want in a reality show and more. I’m not just the host, I’m the puppet master watching the chaos unfold. The drama gets very real, and the stakes couldn’t be higher. Just when the contestants think they have it all figured out—I flip the game!”
Premiering on June 12, “The Traitors” promises edge-of-your-seat twists, unpredictable betrayals, and moments that will leave viewers stunned. New episodes will stream every Thursday on Prime Video.
The Indian edition of “The Traitors” is produced by BBC Studios India and brought to the country by Prime Video in collaboration with independent distributor All3Media International. The show is based on IDTV’s BAFTA and Emmy Award-winning global format.
Nikhil Madhok, Head of Originals at Prime Video India, commented:
“‘The Traitors’ introduces Indian audiences to a genre-defining reality experience. It’s an intense game where trust is scarce, betrayal is constant, and strategy is everything. The Indian adaptation stays true to the global phenomenon while adding its unique flavor to the format.”
Get ready for the ultimate test of trust—it’s Dhokha Time!
