Tehran — Iran’s powerful military force, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), said on Wednesday that it will continue carrying out strikes against American and Israeli military positions across the Middle East until it believes the threat of war against Iran has ended.
In a statement published by its official outlet Sepah News, the IRGC declared that it is determined to push the conflict until the “enemy’s complete surrender”.
The group claimed that during the 38th wave of attacks late Tuesday, it targeted the Al?Udairi Base in Kuwait, alleging that the strike left more than 100 US troops needing medical treatment at nearby hospitals.
According to the IRGC, missile and drone strikes were also launched against US-linked military facilities in the region. These reportedly included naval infrastructure at Mina Salman Port in Bahrain — home to the United States Fifth Fleet — as well as attacks on Ali Al?Salem Air Base and Mohammed Al?Ahmad Naval Base in Kuwait. The claims were reported by Xinhua News Agency.
Earlier on Tuesday, the IRGC also said it had struck a satellite communications facility south of Tel Aviv and military sites in Beer Yaakov, Jerusalem and Haifa using Khorramshahr missiles. It further claimed to have launched attacks on US positions in Erbil in Iraq.
Separately, Iran’s army reported early Wednesday that drones targeted Israeli military facilities, including the intelligence-linked Unit 8200 cyber division, a Green Pine radar installation, and a submarine command centre at Haifa’s naval base.
The latest escalation comes after joint US-Israeli strikes on Iranian targets on February 28, including in Tehran, which Iran says killed former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and several senior commanders. Tehran has since launched repeated missile and drone attacks against US and Israeli interests in the region.
In a separate development, Bank Sepah said a US-Israeli missile hit one of its buildings in Tehran around 1 a.m. local time Wednesday, reportedly causing casualties among employees working the night shift. Iran’s state broadcaster Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting confirmed the strike but did not release official casualty figures.
Following the incident, the Khatam al?Anbiya Central Headquarters — Iran’s main military command — warned that the attack would trigger retaliation. Military spokesperson Ebrahim Zolfaghari said the strike had effectively opened the door for Iran to target US and Israeli financial institutions in the region and advised civilians to stay at least one kilometre away from such facilities.
