IIM Ranchi Makes Global Debut in QS Business Master’s Rankings 2027

IIM Ranchi has made its debut in the *QS Business Master’s Rankings 2027, marking a significant milestone in the Institute’s pursuit of global recognition, academic excellence, and strengthening its position in management education. The Institute has been placed in the **201+ global band* in both the *Master’s in Management* and *Master’s in Business Analytics* categories, securing *21st position in Asia* in Management and *16th in Asia* in Business Analytics.

The QS Business Master’s Rankings 2027 evaluate programmes across five key parameters: *Employability (35%), Alumni Outcomes (15%), Value for Money (20%), Thought Leadership (20%), and Diversity (10%)*. With Employability and Alumni Outcomes together accounting for 50% of the overall score, the methodology places significant emphasis on graduates’ career prospects and professional achievements, alongside financial value, academic influence, and diversity.

In the *Master’s in Management* category, IIM Ranchi recorded scores of *37.2 in Employability, 20 in Alumni Outcomes, 32.7 in Value for Money, 32.5 in Thought Leadership, and 21.8 in Diversity*.

In the *Master’s in Business Analytics* category, the Institute scored *27.8 in Employability, 20 in Alumni Outcomes, 27.3 in Value for Money, 31.1 in Thought Leadership, and 25 in Diversity*.

The rankings assess Employability through graduates’ employment prospects and employer perception, while Alumni Outcomes capture the professional achievements of graduates. Value for Money considers the financial value associated with pursuing the degree, and Thought Leadership reflects an institution’s academic and research influence in business education. Diversity assesses inclusiveness through factors such as class and faculty diversity.

The latest recognition adds to a series of recent milestones for IIM Ranchi. Earlier this year, the Institute secured accreditation from the *Association of MBAs (AMBA)* and was also recognised in the *QS World University Rankings for its Executive MBA programme, where it was placed in the **201+ global band* and ranked *33rd in the Asia-Pacific region*.
