Maoists on rampage in Jharkhand, set more than a dozen vehicles on fire across three districts

Ranchi: Ultras created havoc in Bokaro, Ramgarh and Lohardaga districts of the state as they set on fire more than a dozen vehicles including JCB and tractors. CPI Maoists in Bokaro and Ramgarh and PLFI extremists in Lohardaga set ablaze 11 vehicles engaged in construction work.

The first incident took place in Keri (Tikahara) under the Gomia block of Bokaro district. Here the Maoists torched four tractors including a JCB. The second incident took place in Parsadih located in the Gola police station area of Ramgarh district where the Maoists set on fire two JCBs and three tractors.

On the other hand, the third incident took place in Makandu Tongri of the Kudu police station area of Lohardaga. Where PLFI ultras torched a poclain and a silent generator. Pipeline work is going on in the Mahuatand police station area of Bokaro.

On Friday night six ultras came and set the vehicle engaged in the construction work on fire. According to the information, the company engaged in construction work in the area had stopped giving levy to the Maoists and that is why the incident was carried out the incident to spread terror in the area. After getting the information of the incident, the police reached the spot and conducted the investigation. 

Bridge construction work was being done by BM Company in Parsadih located in the Gola police station area of Ramgarh. On Friday night around 11 o’clock maoists reached in numbers and set the vehicle on fire. Two JCBs and three tractors were burnt to ashes in the arson. 

On the other hand at the crusher plant of Balaji Stone Trading Works Limited, operated in Makandu Tongri of the Kudu police station area of Lohardaga, PLFI ultras executed the incident for the want of levy. The Maoists set on fire a poclain and a silent generator installed in the meat and crusher plant. They also assaulted the Poclain operator and did two bomb blasts to spread terror.
