Khunti: Governor CP Radhakrishnan after taking oath at Raj Bhawan went to Ulihatu the birthplace of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and paid his tributes.
The Governor first garlanded the statue of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and paid his floral tributes to the great leader. During his visit, he also met his descendants there.
Earlier upon the arrival of the Governor in Khunti a guard of honor was given by the district administration and he was welcomed by the sisters of Sakhi Mandal.
The Governor told the journalists that Bhagwan Birsa Munda was born in 1875 AD and was martyred in 1900 AD at the young age of 25 while fighting for the country.
It is because of such great freedom fighters that today we all have the pride of being called citizens of independent India and today our country is the 5th largest economy in the world.
