CM directs to commence recruitment on empty posts in MGM and PMCH hospitals

Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das has directed to commence the work to fulfill the lack of manpower at two government-run
hospitals the MGM in Jamshedpur and the PMCH in Dhanbad on a priority basis. Chairing a review meeting over the
problems of these hospitals he asked the officials concerned to remove the doctors from the management work and hire professionals so that the government hospitals can also function on par with the private hospitals. He also asked to make sure that during the rounds of doctors only one attendant of the patient is present.

He said that when the arrangements would be in place that the patients would be ultimately benefitted and also asked to issue cards for the family members of the patients. Mr. Das said that since poor people come to get treatment in government hospitals, therefore, they should get better facilities and said that funds would not be an issue for the betterment of the hospitals.

Those present on the occasion included Chief Secretary Sudhir Tripathi, Additional Chief Secretary Finance Sukhdeo Singh, Principal Secretary Education AP Singh, Principal Secretary Health Nitin Madan Kulkarni, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sunil Barnwal and others.
