DGP chairs high level meeting, asks officials to ensure implementation of restrictions issued by government

Ranchi: DGP Neeraj Sinha on Saturday chaired a high-level review meeting with the senior police officials of the state via video conferencing in which the SP, SSPs, Regional DIGs and IGs participated.

During the meeting, the meeting discussion was held over ensuring that all the restrictions which have been imposed by health safety week are strictly implemented while the law and order situation was also reviewed in the state.

During the meeting, all the SSPs and SPs presented details over the law and order situation in their respective areas apart from that they also highlighted the different steps which have been taken for implementing the restrictions imposed as part of the health safety week including arrangements made at the check post and steps for vehicle checking. It was informed that in all the districts an adequate number of police personnel have been deployed to ensure proper law and order arrangements.

During the meeting that DGP said that people were passing through a difficult and tough times in which it was the responsibility of the police officials and staff to do their work with dedication and also extend necessary cooperation to the different organisation of the state government.

He said that all the restrictions which have been imposed by the state government and are going to come into effect from Sunday they have to be strictly followed and in case there is any problem then the policeman should immediately get in touch with the DCs of their respective areas and get the issue sorted out.

The DGP said that there were no restrictions on the movement of goods and therefore no problems should be allowed in free transportation of the goods. He said that also there are no restrictions on traveling through the state for outbound vehicles.

The DGP suggested the police officials get in touch with the heads of Panchayati Raj bodies so that haats and bazaars in the rural areas can be operated as per the guidelines of the state government.

He also asked the policemen to take necessary steps to ensure that people travel with proper e-pass, maintain social distancing and wear masks at public places.
