
New Delhi — India captain Rohit Sharma continues to dominate the ICC Men’s ODI Player Rankings, holding firmly to the No. 1 position. Meanwhile, New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell has reached a career-best third place following his outstanding performances in the recent 3–0 home series win against England.
Mitchell’s unbeaten knocks of 56 in Hamilton and 44 in Wellington powered New Zealand to victory and lifted him two places in the rankings. He amassed 178 runs in the series, earning the Player of the Series award for his consistent displays.
Fellow Kiwi Rachin Ravindra also made gains, moving up four spots to a career-best-equalling 14th place after scores of 44 and 56 in the final two ODIs.
Among other notable movers, South Africa’s Quinton de Kock climbed to 19th following his 63-run effort in the first ODI against Pakistan in Faisalabad. From Pakistan, Fakhar Zaman advanced to 26th, while Salman Agha surged nine places to 30th, reaching a career-high ranking thanks to his 62 off 71 balls that earned him the Player of the Match award.
In the bowling charts, England’s Jofra Archer jumped to a career-best joint-third after taking three wickets in Hamilton. Pakistan’s Naseem Shah (up 10 places to 33rd) and New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy (up 25 places to 39th) also achieved their highest-ever positions. USA pacer Saurabh Netravalkar rose three places to 17th, continuing his steady ascent.
In the T20I Player Rankings, West Indies’ Shai Hope attained his highest career position at 12th among batters after scoring 46 not out and 55 in the first two T20Is against Bangladesh.
Afghanistan’s top-order duo Rahmanullah Gurbaz (up to 15th) and Ibrahim Zadran (up to 20th) improved their standings after fine performances in Zimbabwe. From Pakistan, Babar Azam climbed 10 places to 35th, while Saim Ayub rose an equal number to 39th.
On the bowling front, Shaheen Shah Afridi moved up three places to 13th, Mujeeb Ur Rahman advanced 13 spots to 14th, Jason Holder gained nine positions to 23rd, and Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza soared 32 places to 33rd.
Pakistan’s left-arm quick Salman Mirza registered one of the most dramatic jumps, leaping 98 places to 45th after claiming three wickets in the second T20I against South Africa in Lahore.
