Mumbai: KPIT Technologies on Tuesday reported a weaker financial performance for the first quarter of FY27, with its consolidated net profit, revenue and operating margins declining sequentially amid continued pressure from some of its largest clients. The company's consolidated net profit fell 28.1 per cent quarter-on-quarter to Rs 117 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2026, compared with Rs 163 crore in the January-March quarter (Q4 FY26), according to its stock exchange filing. Revenue from operations declined 2.1 per cent sequentially to Rs 1,675 crore from Rs 1,711 crore in the preceding quarter. Operating performance also softened during the quarter. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) stood at Rs 272 crore, down from Rs 322 crore in the previous quarter. As a result, the EBITDA margin narrowed to 16.2 per cent from 18.8 per cent, as per its regulatory filing. Geographically, the company reported mixed trends. Revenue from the United States rose 12 per cent quarter-on-quarter to Rs 514 crore, while revenue from the UK and Europe remained largely flat at Rs 884 crore. Revenue from the Rest of the World declined 10 per cent sequentially to Rs 789 crore. Commenting on the performance, Kishor Patil, Co-founder, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of KPIT Technologies, said the company's first-quarter performance was slightly ahead of the outlook it had shared at the end of the previous quarter. “The Q1FY27 performance has been slightly ahead of the outlook we shared at the end of the quarter,” he said. He noted that while a few of KPIT's largest clients continue to face business pressures, the company's strategy of diversifying growth across clients, geographies, mobility segments and offerings is beginning to demonstrate resilience. Patil said artificial intelligence-led products and solutions have become a common thread across KPIT's portfolio, with encouraging traction in AI-defined mobility, vehicle engineering, digital cockpit, autonomous technologies and aftersales solutions.
