UIDAI partners MapmyIndia to show authorised Aadhaar centres on Mappls App

New Delhi — The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has signed an agreement with MapmyIndia to display authorised Aadhaar centres on the Mappls App, making it easier for residents to locate nearby service points, according to an official statement.

With this integration, users will be able to identify authorised Aadhaar centres based on the services offered, such as adult enrolment, child enrolment, or updates related to address and mobile numbers.

The agreement, signed on April 1, 2026, aims to improve public convenience, curb misinformation, and provide seamless access to Aadhaar Seva Kendras and other authorised centres across the country, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology said.

Under the collaboration, MapmyIndia will incorporate UIDAI-provided data into the Mappls platform to ensure accurate digital mapping and clear listing of authorised Aadhaar centres. UIDAI CEO Bhuvnesh Kumar said the initiative reflects the authority’s focus on citizen-centric services and will help residents easily locate verified centres.

Earlier, UIDAI had entered into a similar partnership with Google to display authorised Aadhaar centres on Google Maps.

The platform will also provide additional details where available, including accessibility features such as divyang-friendly infrastructure, parking facilities, and operating hours.

In the next phase, UIDAI plans to use Google Business Profile to manage centre information and respond to public feedback, aiming to create a more transparent and responsive system. The collaboration may also explore direct appointment booking through the Google Maps interface, allowing residents to plan visits more efficiently.

Separately, UIDAI launched a new Aadhaar mobile app in January to enable faster and more secure identity verification, allowing users to carry and share their digital identity directly from their smartphones.
