Google Launches AI Plus Plan in India with Expanded Access to Gemini 3 Pro

New Delhi – Google on Wednesday announced the launch of Google AI Plus in India, a subscription plan designed to provide users with broader access to its latest AI models, creative tools, and productivity features.

According to the company, the plan offers expanded access to Gemini 3 Pro within the Gemini app as well as advanced image and video generation tools such as Nano Banana Pro and Flow. These capabilities aim to enhance both creativity and productivity for users.

The subscription further integrates Gemini into widely used Google applications, including Gmail and Google Docs, enabling AI-powered assistance directly within users’ daily workflows. It also includes increased cloud storage and family-sharing options.

In addition, subscribers gain expanded access to NotebookLM, Google’s AI-driven research and analysis tool.

The plan provides 200 GB of storage across Google Photos, Drive, and Gmail, and benefits can be shared with up to five family members. Google described AI Plus as an affordable way to unlock advanced AI capabilities.

Pricing:
Google AI Plus is available for Rs 399 per month, with a special introductory price of Rs 199 per month for the first six months for new subscribers.

The company emphasized that the plan “opens up access to powerful AI tools to level up productivity and creativity at an accessible price.”

In November, Google outlined a safety-first AI roadmap for India focused on protecting children, teenagers, and older adults. It also introduced on-device anti-scam tools, text watermarking, and digital literacy programmes to promote safe and inclusive AI usage.

One key initiative is Scam Detection, powered by Gemini Nano, which will soon debut on Pixel phones. The feature analyses calls in real time to detect possible scams entirely on-device, without recording or sharing audio or data. It applies only to calls from unknown numbers, notifies participants with a beep, and can be disabled by the user.
