New Delhi – Meta on Tuesday announced the launch of the Meta Gaming Accelerator, a new incubator program aimed at supporting small and medium-sized gaming developers across India. The initiative is designed to fuel the next wave of growth in India’s rapidly expanding gaming industry.
India's gaming sector is booming, thanks to mobile-first adoption, a vibrant creator ecosystem, and the rise of cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence.
“India’s gaming community is brimming with creativity and innovation, but unlocking its full potential requires bridging the gap between talent and opportunity,” said Arun Srinivas, Managing Director and Head of Meta India.
“That’s why we’re launching the Meta Gaming Accelerator — to equip Indian game developers with advanced ad tools, expert mentorship, and strategic guidance they need to grow and compete on a global scale,” he added.
Meta is launching the Accelerator in collaboration with four prominent venture capital firms: Bitkraft Ventures, Kalaari Capital, Lumikai Fund, and Elevation Capital.
In its first phase, the program will support 20 to 30 emerging game developers and studios across India, offering a structured curriculum focused on:
Special emphasis will be placed on integrating Meta’s AI tools, including Llama, into game design and optimization.
The Accelerator will culminate in a high-impact Demo Day, where participating developers will showcase how they used Meta’s ecosystem to solve real-world business challenges. The event will be attended by investors, Meta executives, and key industry leaders. Top-performing studios will receive enhanced visibility across Meta platforms and may qualify for funding opportunities to support their growth.
“By blending Meta’s expertise with strategic input from India’s leading VCs, we aim not only to empower local developers but also to help launch Indian gaming companies onto the global stage,” Srinivas said.
