New Delhi: A major fire broke out at a factory in Delhi's Narela industrial area on Thursday morning, prompting the deployment of 10 fire tenders to control the blaze. No information about casualties has been reported so far.

According to fire department officials, a call reporting the incident was received at around 9:05 a.m. Following the alert, 10 fire tenders were immediately dispatched to the location, and firefighting operations are underway.

The cause of the fire has not yet been established. Authorities said further details would emerge after an investigation into the incident.

The latest incident comes just days after a deadly fire at a shoe factory in the Mangolpuri Industrial Area of Delhi claimed four lives and left two others seriously injured.

The fire at the Mangolpuri factory, located in Phase I of the industrial area, broke out at around 9:30 p.m. on October 30. The incident came to light on October 31, triggering an extensive rescue and firefighting operation involving Delhi Police, fire department personnel and emergency response teams.

After battling the flames for several hours, rescuers managed to evacuate six people from inside the factory. All six were found unconscious and rushed to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital.

Speaking to reporters, Outer District DCP Vikram Singh said four of the six rescued individuals were declared dead on arrival at the hospital, while the remaining two were admitted for treatment.

He said police personnel and the local beat staff had reached the factory as first responders after receiving information about the fire. The rescue operation began after the fire tenders arrived at the scene.

The police have initiated legal proceedings in connection with the Mangolpuri incident, and further action is underway.

With the latest blaze in Narela, concerns over fire safety in Delhi's industrial establishments have once again come into focus.
