Call to Follow the Ideals of Freedom Fighters and Contribute to Nation-Building

Deoghar: A solemn tribute ceremony was held at the historic Rohini Shaheed Sthal in Deoghar on Tuesday to mark Martyrs' Day. The programme began with a salute to the national flag, followed by floral tributes to the heroes of the 1857 First War of Independence Salamat Ali, Amanat Ali and Sheikh Haroon. Senior district officials, public representatives and local residents paid homage to the martyrs and remembered their sacrifice for the nation.Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner Saurabh Kumar Bhuvania said the sacrifice of these brave freedom fighters occupies a special place in the country's history. He said the true tribute to the martyrs would be to follow their ideals and work with dedication towards public service and nation-building. He urged people to contribute positively to society and help create a better future for coming generations.The Deputy Commissioner also announced that renovation and beautification work at the Rohini Shaheed Sthal park would begin soon. He appealed to members of local committees and residents to share their suggestions for improving the park and developing tourism sites in the area. The district administration, he said, would extend all possible support for such initiatives.
Superintendent of Police Praveen Pushkar paid homage to the martyrs and said their sacrifice remains an enduring symbol of patriotism and courage. He noted that the freedom enjoyed by citizens today is the result of the supreme sacrifices made by countless freedom fighters. Following their path, he added, would be the most meaningful way to honour their memory.During the programme, family members of freedom fighters were felicitated for their contribution and legacy. They were honoured with shawls by district officials and public representatives as a mark of respect and gratitude.The event was attended by public representatives, family members of freedom fighters, social activists, district officials, block-level officers and a large number of local residents. The ceremony reflected a deep sense of patriotism and respect for the nation's martyrs.
