NTA Announces NEET-UG 2026 Re-Examination on June 21

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency on Friday announced that the re-examination for NEET (UG) 2026 will be conducted on Sunday, June 21.

The agency said the decision was taken with the approval of the Government of India.

In an official statement posted on X, the NTA said, “NEET (UG) 2026 - Examination Date Announced. The National Testing Agency, with the approval of the Government of India, has scheduled the re-examination of NEET (UG) 2026 on Sunday, 21 June 2026.”

The agency also urged students and parents to depend only on official communication channels for updates related to the examination.

Candidates can contact the NTA through its official email ID and helpline numbers for any queries regarding the examination process.

Earlier, the NTA had cancelled the NEET-UG 2026 examination that was held on May 3 after allegations of paper leak and irregularities surfaced. Around 22.79 lakh candidates had registered for the medical entrance examination this year.

According to the agency, the cancellation decision was taken after reviewing inputs received from central agencies and findings shared by law enforcement authorities regarding possible compromise of the examination process.

Meanwhile, the Central Bureau of Investigation has intensified its investigation into the alleged paper leak case.

Officials said four accused individuals have been brought to Delhi for detailed questioning as investigators attempt to uncover the wider network linked to the alleged racket.

The accused include Dinesh Binwal, Mangilal Binwal and his son Vikas from Jaipur, along with Yash Yadav from Haryana. Investigators are conducting face-to-face interrogations at the CBI headquarters to piece together the chain of events.

On Thursday, CBI teams also carried out searches at the Binwal family’s residence in Jamwaramgarh area of Jaipur. During the operation, officials questioned family members and seized documents, electronic devices and digital records from properties linked to the accused as part of the ongoing probe.
