President Ramnath Kovind to visit Jharkhand on two day trip on Feb 28

Ranchi: President Ramnath Kovind will be arriving on a two-day visit to the state on Feb 28 during which he will be participating in programmes to be held in Ranchi, Gumla and Deoghar.

On the first day of his visit on February 28, the President will be participating in the first convocation ceremony of the Central University of Jharkhand which will be organised in its new campus located at Cheri-Manatu. On February 29 he will be travelling to Bishunpur of Gumla district which will be followed by a visit to Deoghar.

In wake of the visit of the President, elaborate security arrangements will be made in all the three-place with the police headquarters also deploying senior IPS officials along with DSPs and Police inspectors to look after the security and other arrangements at the venue.

In the month of September 2019 the President was on a three day visit between September 28-30 however due to bad weather his programmes in Gumla and Deoghar district where cancelled. He only participated in the convocation ceremony of Ranchi University before returning back to the national capital.
