Had informed PM in 2017 itself regarding wrong doings of state government: Saryu Rai

Dumka: Former Cabinet Minister Saryu Rai said that he had informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the year 2017 itself that the people are dissatisfied with the state government and were claiming that Hemant government was far better.

Addressing a Press Conference here he said that according to the information which he has after the end of 4th phase of elections in the state it has become clear that BJP will not be able to cross even 15 seats in Jharkhand. He said that in the fourth phase the BJP had won 12 out of 15 seats in the previous elections but this time it will only win 4-5 seats.

He said that the people of the state have already made up their minds for change and there was no doubt that Hemant Soren would form the next government in Jharkhand. He said that the manner in which big leaders of the BJP are campaigning in the state it appears that they all are scared.

Over the issue of Hemant Soren contesting from two places he said that it should also be noted that even the Prime Minister is campaigning at two places in a single day. Mr Rai said that whatever has happened in the last 5 years has been watched by the people therefore no matter how hard the Prime Minister tries the BJP will not able to save itself in Jharkhand.

He said that since 2015 itself he had been leveling allegations of corruptions over the state government and had tried all possible means including raising questions in the correct forum but he did not get any answers.

Mr Rai said that the state General Secretary of the party who has been appointed by the centre is serving like a domestic help of the Chief Minister as he does not say anything or gives reply on any issue.

He said that whatever is complaints are from him all of them are in the written format and in many issues he has registered more than a dozen PILs and in these cases the government has never bothered to reply. Mr Rai said that since beginning itself he had reached that issue of Manhart scam.

He said that under Hemant Soren government the payment which was made to the company was done as RK Majithia was the judge and he had ordered that the probe would continue however he directed that the company should be paid for the work done.

Mr Rai said that the matter was probed by the Vigilance which also found irregularities in the deal, even the five member committee of the engineering heads found gross irregularities in the case, the former minister said that the High Court had also said to take necessary action.

After that it was followed by the blanket scam and later jobs scam. He said that it was claimed that 26 thousand youth were given jobs and all of them have mobile number but unfortunately only 2000 of them have picked up the calls. He said that in the name of job the youth were sent to Chennai and Pune to earn Rs 6000 per month.

He said that he had even said in the media that if they would not publish these things there might be some delay but the issue will come out in open one day. He also claimed that there was a huge scam in the Jan Samwad of PRD as there was no record of anything.
