Ranchi: Finally the Congress party in Jharkhand has managed to persuade its star campaigner Priyanka Gandhi to visit the state and campaign for the party candidates who are contesting the seats in the fifth and final phase of elections in the state.
Ms Gandhi will be addressing an election rally on the last day of campaigning for the fifth phase of elections in the state on December 18 in Santhal Pargana. JPCC spokesperson Alok Kumar Dubey said that in her visit to the state
Ms Gandhi will address a mega rally in which she will seek votes for Congres candidates and that of Mahagathbandhan.
He said that in charge for party affairs in Jharkhand RPN Singh along with other senior leaders will also be present on the occasion. He said that party workers were extremely excited about her visit.
Ms Gandhi is likely to address the rally in Barharwa which is part of Pakur seat from where the leader of the legislature wing of the Congress party Aalamgir Aalam is the candidate. Voting on all the 16 seats of Santhal Pargana will be held on December 20.
