Ranchi: Post the declaration of assembly elections in Jharkhand the enforcement agencies have seized cash and other prohibited substance worth Rs 1.41 crore.
Addressing a press conference here state’s Chief Electoral Officer Vinay Kumar Choubey said out of the total seizure Rs 59.79 lakh was in cash, while liquor and Mahua worth Rs 46.06 lakh has been seized.
Other items that have been seized included drugs and other contraband substances worth Rs 17.96 lakh and gift and other items meant for free distribution worth Rs 17.18 lakh.
