Show cause notice issued to RPN Singh for violation of MCC

Ranchi: The nodal MCMC officer cum SDO Sadar Ranchi has issued a show-cause notice to former Union Minister and incharge for Congress party affairs in Jharkhand RPN Singh and has asked him to reply within 48 hours.

In the notice it was said that without prior permission on November 8 a press conference was held at the press club which is prima facie violation of model code of conduct and he has been asked to respond within two days of receiving the notice as to why a case of violation of model code of conduct should not be registered against him.

Earlier an FIR for violation of MCC was registered against the president and acting president of RJD Loktantrik for holding a meeting of party workers without taking the permission from the district administration or through the single window system which was a violation of MCC.
