Cabinet approves 7th pay commission for employees of urban Municipal bodies

Ranchi: The state government has approved the implementation of the seventh pay commission for the employees of the Urban Municipal bodies in the state.

A decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the state cabinet which was chaired by Chief Minister Raghubar Das at the project building here.

In an important decision the cabinet also approved to provide additional honorarium to the Anganwadi Sevika and Sahayika along with Sevikas working in mini anganwadi centres in the state from the planned expenditure funds of the government while an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh each which was paid due to kin of four scribes was also approved from retrospective effect.

It was also decided to approve a sum of rupees one crore as advance payments towards the legal officials appointed in the office of the Attorney General from the contingency funds of the state government for the fiscal year 2019-20.

In another key decision, the state government approved revised funds worth Rs 4166 crore under Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Yojana and during the financial year 2019-20 against a sanctioned amount of Rs 1044 crore it was decided to release Rs 469.78 crore.

Further, the state government also approved a sum of Rs 2.05 crore to be paid from the contingency funds of the state for making the allowance paid for the home guards who were deployed on duty during the bypolls in Silli Kolibera and Panki along with those posted in bypolls of panchayat and urban local bodies in 2018.

A sum of Rs 6 crore was also sanctioned from the contingency funds for conducting the Vidhan Sabha elections 2019 and creating awareness for national voter day programme. The cabinet gave its nod to a proposal to handover 2.87 acres of land in Thakurgangti block of Godda district to Adani Power Ltd on payment of Rs 60.22 lakh to set up booster pumping station for the Adani Thermal Power Project.
