Later he reached the Bada Talab and expressed his anguish over the poor condition of the pond and directed the town administration to ensure that all the ponds are cleaned within the next 24 hours.

The administrator of the RMC assured the MP that at any cost the ponds will be cleaned in the next 24 hours. He also urged the people to extend their cooperation in this auspicious festival and extend labour to make the Chhath Ghats.

Mr Seth also urged the people not to throw polythene and items used in performing Pooja in the water bodies and said that after the festival of Chhath at the banks of all the ponds a special structure would be created to deposit the items used in rituals.
