Government has not been able to meet the aspirations of the people: RPN Singh

Ranchi: Former Union Minister and incharge for Congress party affairs in Jharkhand RPN Singh said that the state government has failed to perform as per the hopes and aspirations of the people and claimed that in the last five years not a single work worth lauding has been done by the Raghubar Das government of the state.

Talking to the reporters at the Birsa Munda airport here he said that cabinet minister Saryu Rai has himself on many occasions raised question mark over the functioning of the state government and in the internal fight between the BJP the true reflection of the work done in the state in the last five years has been shown to the people as during the tenure of the present government only squabble within the BJP has taken place in the state.

Mr Singh has reached Ranchi to participate in the Jan Aakrosh rally to be organised on Wednesday at the vidhansabha grounds. Earlier upon his arrival at the airport Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee chief Rameshwar Oraon along with the leader of the legislature wing of the Congress party Alamgir Alam and other senior leaders welcome Mr Singh at the airport.

The Congress leaders claimed that in the early at least 25000 party workers from Lohardaga Gumla Simdega Khunti and Ranchi district would be participating in the program. Party spokespersons Alok Kumar Dubey and Lal Kishore Nath Shahdeo said that through the Jan Aakrosh rally the failures of the state government would be kept before the people.

The duo said that the people would be apprised about the scam worth Rs 900 crore in name of Momentum Jharkhand Jharkhand, loot of Rs 2200 crore in the name of Konar canal project, open bribe being demanded by a couple of ministers of the government, suicides committed by farmers, hunger death and incidents of mob lynching.
